Steps :
  1. In broad, even strokes, apply a thin layer of any base coat you like.
  2. Use a thin art-store brush to apply your first chevron shape. Choose a nude polish to serve as an outline for your other stripes. If you mess-up the line, a nude shade will be easier to fix than a brighter color.
  3. Paint on adjacent stripes with your various colors. It might look a little splotchy and uneven at this stage, but don't worry about those details yet you're just priming the design!.
  4. make the stripes point in opposite directions on each hand.
  5. Paint the last two colors on the cuticle and raw edge of the nail. don't worry about minor mistakes, you'll clean those up later.
  6. Go over your stripes again, taking care to create an even opaque line.
  7. Clean up excess polish on the sides of your nails and make any final touches.
  8. Since the stripes are so close together, give your nails an extra 15 minutes of drying time before applying the top coat, otherwise the colors will bleed.

Steps :
  1. Paint each nail with the polish of your choice. Add a good top coat and allow your nails to dry completely. If possible, give yourself a few minutes of drying time before moving on.
  2. Apply three pieces of Scotch tape to your dry nails. Apply the first piece of tape at the bottom of your nail so the corner points up toward the center. Overlap the other two pieces at the top of your nail to create the chevron shape in the center of the nail. Press down firmly on the edges to make sure you have a tight seal.
  3. Paint over the Scotch tape with a contrasting polish. We used China Glaze Frostbite, a vibrant blue.
  4. While the polish is still wet, slowly remove the tape to reveal your design. Once the second color is dry, apply a top coat. You can stop here with this fun two-toned manicure or keep on going!
  5. Overlap two pieces of tape to section off a triangle at the base of each nail. Fill in the triangle with a contrasting color – we used Sally Hansen xTreme Wear in White On.
  6. Remove the tape to reveal your finished look. Add a top coat for shine and protection, and get ready to show off this fun, modern mani.

Steps :
  1. Begin by painting your nails with a light-colored polish.
  2. Dip a slanted makeup brush or small paintbrush in a bright, saturated polish. Next, quickly dip the polish-covered brush in a bit of nail polish remover to thin it out.
  3. Channel your inner preschooler and pull back on the brush to splatter polish across your nails. It’s a messy process, so make sure you’re working on a covered surface!
  4. Continue splattering with as many polishes as you’d like
  5. Now comes clean-up. Begin by using a remover-soaked cotton ball to wipe away the splatters on your hands and fingers. After most of the splatters are cleaned up, switch to a small remover-dipped makeup brush to clean up the skin right around your nails.
  6. Add a top coat and get ready to answer “How did you do that?” for the rest of the day. This is such a fun, unexpected look!

  2. You don’t need to buy a fancy dotting tool – you can get equally great results with a pointed Q-tip, a bobby pin or an unfolded paper clip. Collect a small dot of polish on top of the Q-tip or other tool and create small dots across the tip of each nail with the five colors of your choice.
  3. Avoid smearing by allowing the dots to dry completely before adding a top coat. This is an understated yet trendy way to rock the neons that are so hot this season.

How to Do a High Ponytail hair style

Posted on kouturekiss by dakotadoukas

Steps :
  1. Start off with hair that has been air dried.
  2. Part your hair down the middle, and then take your two thumbs and move them towards the back of your head, picking up the front portion of your hair to set aside for the poof. Twist the portion, clip it back and save it for later.
  3. To add volume, take your teasing comb and with small portions of hair, back comb until the hair appears messy and gathered.
  4. lightly take a comb and brush your hair back down. Although this will remove some of the volume you just created, it will leave enough behind to work with.
  5. Tie your hair up in a high ponytail – and even curl the ends if you’d like! The pony doesn’t have to be perfect.
  6. Now take that front portion and back comb one final time. Spray the hair from behind to give it extra hold and then make a poof with the section.
  7. Take the hair that is not part of your poof but part of the section and still hanging down and wrap it around your ponytail to conceal the appearance of it.
  8. To remove any fly aways or to smooth out the look even more, try spraying your hands with hairspray and polish the look, blending in any fly aways and smoothing out the sides.

Explosion nail art design tape manicure tutorial

Explosion nail art design tape manicure tutorial
Explosion nail tape manicure Posted on nailside

this tutorial does not look very hard but it does require some patience because there are two taping sessions. So to make the time this design takes reasonable, I recommend using one-coaters or a fast drying topcoat. Let's get started!

STEPS :
  1. Start with the base color you like and let it dry completely.
  2. while waiting for the base color to dry. cut some triangles out of tape to make the 'explosion' shape.
  3. Now place the triangles one by one, next to each other on one corner of the nail, in a slight curve. This will create the 'explosion' shape.
  4. Then apply your first layering color with a thin coat and carefully peel off the pieces of tape right away.
  5. When the polish is entirely dry, you can start the taping process once again with your second layering color.
  6. Apply your second layering polish and remove the tape strips as soon as possible.
  7. At last apply your topcoat, clean up and you're done!

2.   Section off the amount of hair you’ll need for your braid and clip the rest of your hair back so it’s out of the way.
3.   Start french braiding your hair. With a dutch braid, instead of gathering hair and placing strands over each other, you place strands under each other.
4.   Continue to braid across the front of the head where your bangs should be until you reach the other side.
5.   Finish the braid off normally and secure with an elastic. Then, take a bobby pin and secure the hanging braid behind your ear.

a simple fishtail braid hair tutorial

a simple fishtail braid hair tutorial
simple fishtail braid posted on beautylish

Steps :
1.   Detangle and brush out your hair so it's easy to handle. If you need to, smooth out flyaways and frizz with a grooming cream. You don't have to have stick straight locks to rock this look, just keep your hair knot-free! Divide the hair into two even sections starting from the middle of the scalp.
2.   Use your pinky and ring finger to grab a small section of the hair (approximately 1/4" inch) from the back of the right side. Add this section to the left side by folding it over with your left hand.
3.   take your left pinky and grab a 1/4" strand from the back of the left section. Fold it over and add it to your right section. Make sure these first few strands are tighter so you get comfortable with the process and nothing falls loose.
4.   Continue weaving strands from the left and right. You're going to be weaving more or less depending on the thickness of your strands. But trust us—the fishtail effect looks so much better when you weave thinner pieces instead of thicker. It make take longer, but it's worth it!
5.   Once you're at a comfortable place to end your braid, secure it with an elastic band or a clip.

Tutorial Steps :
  1. Base Coat - apply a thin layer of your favorite base coat. Then apply two coats of a light pink or beige polish on each finger.
  2. Stippling Time - Pour a small amount of the lightest polish in your palette on a piece of plastic. Dip the tip of a makeup sponge into the polish and stipple it onto your nails, covering the lower half of your nails (to the tips).
  3. Gradual Color Change - Now pour a small amount of nail polish in a shade darker onto the piece of the plastic. Dip the tip of another corner of your makeup sponge into the polish and starting at the tip of your nail, stipple the polish over the first layer of color, leaving a sliver of the lighter color showing underneath.
  4. Last Color For Ombré Effect - Again, dip the tip of a makeup sponge into the the darkest polish shad and stipple it over the tips of your nails. It should look like your nails are slowly getting darker as you go from the cuticle to the tip.
  5. Add Some Sparkle - apply a sheer, sparkling polish on top to give your nails an extra shine.
  6. Top Coat - clean up the edges of your nails with nail polish remover and apply a layer of top coat.

  2. apply one coat of no-shimmer white polish onto your nails and let them dry.
  3. Apply a generous second coat of color to one hand, and let the polish get tacky for 10 seconds.
  4. over a sheet of paper, a cup, or a plastic tray, pour the microbeads over your nail bed, ensuring you coat the entire surface of your nail bed like glitter over glue.
  5. use the pad of your finger to press and secure the caviar beads.
  6. then apply a tiny drop of top coat along your nail tip to seal the Clear micro beads.
The look should last two or three days before the beads start to fall.

Simple Step-by-Step Galaxy Nail Manicure Tutorial

Simple Step-by-Step Galaxy Nail Manicure Tutorial
Galaxy Nail Manicure posted on beautylish

YOU'LL NEED :
  1. Base Coat
  2. Dark nail polish for base color
  3. Light color for base of nebula
  4. Two to three bright nail polish colors to create nebulae
  5. Cosmetic sponge
  6. Piece of paper
  7. Glitter polish
  8. Top coat

1 - Using a dark shade, preferably a deep blue or black, apply one or two coats of nail polish on top of your base coat to serve as the base color of your space design. Then sponge on your first layer of light color (we used a pale green) in thin layers and allow to dry. This serves as a starting highlight in the background of your nebula.

2 - Use a sponge to lightly dab a thin layer of a bright color (we chose pink) onto the base of your nebula. If you get too much polish on the sponge, just dab it off on the paper. Wait one to two minutes between each application so that the colors can dry. When you put another coat on top of a color, the lacquers re-activate and are easier to blend because the layers are wet again. Repeat process with as many colors as you want.

3 - Add stars by applying one or two coats of a glitter polish on top of your design. We suggest using a nail polish that contains different size glitter to give the illusion of dimension and distance. To make sure your new space-age manicure will last, apply a top coat and you’re ready to blast off!
